Managing Director
Stuart spent the first 20 years of his career in telecoms before joining Mortimers in July 2020. He is currently in charge of all aspects of the business, from seed production through to grain trading.

Lucy joined James Mortimer Ltd in 2015, having previously helped with the development of Unit 13, Kelleythorpe Industrial Estate. Lucy is involved in all aspects of the business, primarily seed and farm trading, as well as HR, marketing and accounts.
Technical Director
Georgina joined James Mortimer Ltd in 2019, having previously worked at Agrii and Bayer Cropscience as a Trials Agronomist. Georgina is BASIS and FACTS certified.
Accountant
Chris has worked in finance for 20 years across various industries and joined Mortimers in May 2024. He manages all aspects of Mortimers' finances.
Farm Business Manager
Jim has worked in agriculture since leaving school and, prior to joining us in 2014, completed 39 years with his previous company. He brings a wealth of farm trading experience, and his knowledge of the grain, seed and fertiliser sectors is a great strength to James Mortimer Ltd.
Farm Business Manager
Tom has been at Mortimers since 2023 and specialises in farm trading and Mortimers Livestock Nutrition. He is a fully qualified crop inspector and holds a Class 2 HGV licence.
Warehouse and Seed Plant Manager
Chris has worked for Mortimers since 2017, running the seed plant and warehouse to an exceptional standard. He also holds a Class 1 HGV licence, ADR certificate and crop inspector’s licence.
Warehouse and Seed Plant Assistant
Dan started at Mortimers in 2020 and assists with all aspects of the seed plant and warehouse. He is responsible for stock management.

Sam has been with the company since 2022, having previously worked as a Class 1 HGV driver. He works across all aspects of the seed plant and warehouse and is a qualified crop inspector.
Accounts
Nigel has been with the company since 2008. Prior to Mortimers, he worked with his father Geoff in their family grain merchanting business. Nigel oversees sales and purchase ledgers and specialises in compliance with trade assurance schemes.

Kaylee joined Mortimers in 2025, having previously worked in pharmacy. Kaylee works in accounts assisting Chris with all aspects of Mortimers finances.
Transport & Logistics Manager
Dan manages all aspects of the transport and logistics department. He also holds a Class 1 HGV licence, having previously worked as an HGV driver for five years.
